On this day in 1989, former Cleveland Cavaliers point guard and coach Lenny Wilkens was elected to the NBA Hall of Fame. As a player, Wilkens was a nine-time All-Star who averaged 16.5 points and 6.7 assists per game; as a coach, he won an NBA title with Seattle in 1979 and a gold medal in the 1996 Olympics.
